Independent Ilonggo artists be displaying their works and raising awareness on various social issue this coming July 4, 2009 in an event dubbed as the first "Ilonngo Indie Art Fest," which will be held in Dos Maria Pizzaria, General Luna St., Iloilo City at 3pm until 12am.
The night will be jampacked with music, short films, visual arts, and indigenous culture centered on social awareness to environment preservation, AIDS, HIV, safe sex, registering to vote, and ako mismo. Ilonngo Indie Art Fest will be also held for the benefit of schools in Isla Gigantes Sur, (Carles, Iloilo) so be sure to bring bring old & used textbooks if you can.

Finally! some kind of hip event in the city that will benefit and promote ilonggo artists! I am proud and will help to cultivate this event.
Hey I am visiting Iloilo next month… got an offer here ( http://tinyurl.com/n5lnku ) that will reduce my travel expenses to about USD 94 a night. Seems like I will be missing the Indie Art Fest though (I will be there after 10th of July). Any suggestions on what other events I may look forward to attending ?
