Iloilo-Guimaras economic corridor pushed

ILOILO City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is envisioning the establishment of the Metro Iloilo-Guimaras economic corridor.
The proposal was an offshoot of the Metro-Iloilo Development Council (MIDC) originally composed of Iloilo City and the neighboring towns of Leganes, Pavia, Oton and San Miguel.

New Hotels in Iloilo to open this year!

There are currently 3 new hotels under construction in Iloilo. Judging at the rate of construction, the construction would most probably finish late this year or early 2007, probably to catch-up on the expected increase of tourists during the Dinagyang and Paraw Regatta Festivals.
