ILOILO City mayor Jerry Treñas said Global Business Power Corporation (Global Power) is determined to invest in a coal-fired power plant in the metropolis.

A CHINA-based international network promoting the potentials of bamboo and rattan has set eyes on Iloilo’s flourishing bamboo industry and vowed to help boost its market.

ILOILO City Mayor Jerry Treñas will witness today the signing by Global Business Power Corporation (Global Power), a member of the Metrobank Group of Companies, will sign today, November 12, of its joint venture agreement with Formosa Heavy Industries (FHI) to construct power generation plants using clean coal technology that will involve an investment of more than US$500 million. 2nd flyover for Iloilo City scrapped

Iloilo City’s second flyover, supposedly to be constructed across a mall along Diversion Road, will no longer be implemented.

City Mayor Jerry Treñas confirmed the cancellation of the second flyover project during the Metro Iloilo-Guimaras Development Council (MIGEDC) Summit last Saturday. Read more »
