Ilonggo faithful hear first ever Latin mass

Hundreds of Ilonggo Catholic faithful on Wednesday flocked to the first Latin Mass held here in decades. Around 700 parishioners of Mandurriao District here attended the Latin Mass, also known as Tridentine, held in time for the Feast of the Espousal of the Virgin Mary at the Mandurriao parish church. Dinagyang 2008 Ati Competition - To highlight Dinagyag Festival on January 27

The Dinagyang Ati Competition is the main highlight of the Dinagyang Festival and will be held on January 27, 2008 or every fourth Sunday of January. During the Dinagyang Ati competition, competing tribes composed of dark-brown colored warriors perform a highly choreographed dance to a fast paced beat of drums and paying homage to the child Jesus by shouting “Viva, Viva! Senyor Santo Nino!.”

Dinagyang 2008 Kasadyahan Competition - Showcasing the Culture of Western Visayas on January 26

The Kasadyahan Competition is one of the main highlights of the Dinagyang Festival will be held on January 26, 2008, a day before the Dingyang Ati competition.. The dance competition features the history and culture of the various towns of Iloilo through a choreographed cultural dance.
