@rhey… yeah ive seen it last June 30, 2011….
@mur2s…. i believe you’ re in USA???
@earvin…. SM preferred Bacolod City to put up convention center and hotel… Just as after all these years they been absorbing millions of millions of money from Iloilo… they invest the profits in Bacolod City anyway … In return to get even with, The City can build its own Palatial and Ornate Mall to rival and then accumulate wealth on its own…and later to bankrupt the SMCT…how about that??? just as Walmart and many other USA stores are loosing profits …
INJAP tower will break ground tomorrow( june 30 ) – actual construction will start ( july 30 2011 ) turn-over of units to owners on dec.8,2013.

Salamat gid!
Now expats Ilonggo baby boomers can consider Iloilo to buy their condos rather than in Global City where many of them are flocking to! I must say though, Ayala and Robinson’s have higher end market… But Iloilo is less crowded, air is cleaner and cost of living is lower!
ayus gd,,,,,,,viva iloilo
I think Vic have a point. Though I believe it does not guarantee that it will make the city prosper (Singapore is not an industrialized country, they are more in banking, yet they prosper). But of course, one thing is certain. It will open the door for our kasimanwa’s employment.Yes “taga diri lang” is also right. Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan and even pampanga are industrialized provinces, yet they prosper very slow. People from those places still flock to Manila (specifically Makati and Pasig-Ortigas).
Further, we also have to think very well the effect of industrialization to our environment. It might draw us closer to Pollutions and radiations- which are very hazardous to our health.
I believe it is more safer for to invite more investors to build more buildings and hotels here in our city. for at least it might trade us to be the Center of Business for at least in the whole Western Visayas Region.
Tourism must be given much focus to supplement the Hotels and other Investments/Businesses in the City.
@ atun ini and Tga diri lang.. i applaud you for you inputs… let me comment, Laguna cannot be a city for million of years because its a province…. thier city includes calamba santa rosa etc…and many people in Manila are working in manufacturing factories in Laguna Area. I felt ( subjectively) prosperity in there not to mention the middle class housing all over the area. yet if MW will put up many business here… that will make us a step higher than Santa Rosa,,,I maintain Iloilo lacks tourism will…. theres no business venture/travel agency by the government or private for tourism package the moment you set foot in ..Iloilo to conduct touring… unlike in Palawan or Cebu…yet we have the many factors and potentials.( Golf club in santa Barbara, Miag ao Church, Caves in Dingle, Falls in Igbaras, Equistrian in Guimbal , Historical houses in Jaro, First Hospital in Mission, First Provincial High School , and many other first)… also we must consider to maintain iloilo clean atmosphere through Tree Planting to absorb carbon emission of the growing vehicles, we must also to consider the immense swampy mangrove in Sooc Area .The City government should fill it up with soil and construct esplanade so itll be complete that the whole river banks of Iloilo City are landscaped.
bakit ang laguna madaming industrial park di naman naging city.
Dugay na ang iloilo naging ciudad without those manufacturing industry.
wow!!! this is Great.
kudos to the injap…. surely… their business will reap abundance and they were never wrong to put up that ventures in the City … But Iloilo needs manufacturing industry to help the city boom… since all city will not prosper without it….in return all city will deteriorate without manufacturing business… the more the manufacturing business the more skycaper will shoot up…. right then, its a business the government should have arranged with the investors, Medical Center is also a great economic catalyst, Tourism but iloilo lacks the will, Pavia is ideal place for agro-economic development… Let Oton, Passi City, Santa Barbara and Pototan be the agricultural center on rice… Sea Foods to the Northern Part of Iloilo….as we see, we have everything in the world to offer…. Leisure Park is all we need then, lets wait and see the MW could offer :)
