More than a hundred thousand spectators trooped to SM City Iloilo for the 2nd Luces in the Sky – Iloilo Dinagyang Fireworks Competition on January 23 and 24, 2009. This year, the 19 entries coming from different parts of the country were able to keep traffic along Diversion Road to a standstill for two hours Friday and Saturday night. Undoubtedly, the entry, which got the best response from the crowd was Scorpions of Iloilo. They really made use of the full 7 minutes from start to end to impress the crowd by giving an all-out assault of unique colorful fireworks. The entry from Scorpions of Iloilo really put on a great show and made Ilonggos proud but the entry from DSS fireworks of Dumaguete egded them out in the end.

thanks purpleworm. I agree that seeing the fireworks personally is way better than just seeing it in videos and pictures.
Compairing the two entries, Scorpion Iloilo should be the Champion!………..I think there something wrong with the judges…….????
hey guys, got some news……….Scorpion of iloilo lost b’coz a certain JOSEPH DELUMPA the organizer is with the group of DUMAGUETE!!! kaya pala natalo ang ILOILO SCORPION :( ………..Ben Jimena of Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation and the committee head of this event knows about this too but they didn’t do anything!!!……….tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk……….whats the catch???…………ilonggo sold by fellow ilonggo???…….GRABE!!
