Yes, as Kirby said, Amigo is a great choice to stay in if you’re visiting during the Dinagyang Festival since the hotel is along the parade route and just a short walk from the judging areas (this is important since roads in the downtown area is closed off to traffic). Good that you’re booking early because all hotels are usually already full as early as December/January.

It’s 15-20 minute walk from Amigo to Freedom Grandstand (Judging area no.1) and 5-10 minute walk to Capitol (Judging area no. 2)

Hi, how far is this hotel from the place where they held the Dinagyang festival? we have 10 people in the family for next year’s trip (2010) and we are looking for a place to stay just for one night..we would like to see Dinagyang:-) any information will be greatly appreciated.
