Angelicum’s opening of lights is an annual tradition initiated by the school to spread the holiday spirit. This year, the event was held last December 14 at around 6pm. The program started with song and dance numbers by the students and was capped with the switching on of the lights and a short fireworks display.
The building adorned with colorful Christmas lights and parols in the picture is the chapel of Angelicum school. Before the structure was handed down to the school, it was the residence of the Lizares family. This Spanish-colonial heritage house is one of the grandest and most beautiful among Iloilo’s collection of old mansions.
