A wondrous sight to behold at night is the Lizares Mansion, now the Angelicum School, distinguished as one of Iloilo’s most iconic antillian (heritage) houses. Built during the colonial period, it stands in testimony of Iloilo’s booming sugar industry.

Every year, the main building of Angelicum becomes the subject of amusement as thousands of Christmas lights literally adorn every inch of its facade further enhancing the charm of this magnificent edifice.

Angelicum School’s opening of lights starts with a program of song and dance courtesy of the students of the school, which is then followed by the ‘switching on of lights’. The event is finally capped by a wondrous fireworks display.
