Bantayan Beach Resort is named after a Bantayan or “Watchtower” that is located beside the resort. It is one of 5 watchtowers built in the 17th century as a lookout to warn the people of Guimbal of an impending attack by Muslim pirates.
Guimbal is a home to resort-goers and nature lovers. A number of beaches and resorts have sprung up along the shoreline area after the present administration envisioned the town to become the resort center of Iloilo.

i mis iloilo,probably i can visit guimbal,hope its a nice place.
Actually, I grown-up nearby of this town wherein I never explore my town and especially Guimbal way back one decade ago. My town and rest of nearby towns are fully distorted by time and a lot of beautiful places to be seen. The beautiful beaches of Tigbauan and Guimbal are the gossip of everybody especially from people from the City proper of Iloilo and even here in a foreign country.
Hoping on my next vacation I will explore these attractive beaches that 1st District of Iloilo has discovered.

Actually I grew up here in Guimbal. i miss my own home town, my friends, the events,our plaza, the market and the vendors that i know there, my school, Guimbal elementary School, the Guimbal National High School, the church there,the beaches especially shamrock, bantayan beach resort. I also miss my relatives there my cousins especially our house at Girado St. and also my relaltive in Camangahan. I miss my sister so much.I wish shes always alright.
