Bourbon Summer Party – Two nights of flair, fire, and fashion

Backtrack! Creatives and Events and Bourbon Street Grill & Bar gave Iloilo the most hip and happening start of summer party for 2008 last March 28 and 29. This 2-night event featured Iloilo’s local talents in flair tending, fire zipping and fashion design, as well as, Negros’ highly acclaimed The Patiqueros. To top it off, DJ Onin of Mint Bar, Fort Strip got the crowd grooving for the night.

FLAIR: Rico Paulo Cronologia and Novemar Peroja showcased their bar flair tending tricks. They also served the crowd with their original concoctions and a party exclusive – “Bourbon Summer Cocktails”.

FIRE: Jay Garovillo, one of Iloilo’s pioneer fire zippers, displayed his latest stunts. His fiery performance and artistry did not fail to amaze the crowd and set the mood for the fashion show.

FASHION: Salad Dressing and Pale Bleue showed off their summer line for 2008. Florad John Gonzales, one of Iloilo’s young and talented designers, launched his original summer wear collections. The show featured local models and young professionals from ePLDT Ventus.

Florad is a member of Iloilo Young Designers Group. His growing career includes Fashionology 2007 where he is a participant. He is also an official designer of the several events of West Visayas State University and University of the Philippines in the Visayas. He is also a finalist of Robinson’s Design Lab Cycle 1. Currently, Florad is a BA Broadcast Communication junior student.

FUN: The famous Patiqueros of Negros’ set the note for a Fun, fun, fun party. People enjoyed dancing to the perfect mix of drum beats and music by DJ Leandro Zayco. And they just kept on asking for more! DJ Onin also gave the crowd more reason to party with his mashed up music that catered to each and every genre. And even with bad weather on the first night, people just kept on partying!
