Bulabog Puti-an National Park is a protected rain forest area known for being a living museum of flora and fauna. Hundreds of local and foreign tourists visit the 847 eco-tourism park to immerse in the area’s natural attractions such as its various forms of wildlife and more than 30 caves.
The caves of Bulabog Putian National Park is an important historical, paleontological, archeological site since it was used as a hideout by the revolutionary forces in Iloilo during the Spanish occupational period. Many of the caves’ walls still has text inscribed by the war heroes of the past. One of these text reads: “Los Republicanos Juran Morir Antes Que Entregarse,” or The Republicans Swear To die Before Surrendering.
The trail to the caves is ladden with limestone rocks, the same material used for the construction of the century-old Dingle Church. If you’re planning to visit, better wear sturdy rubber shoes to make your trek easier.

Bulabog Putian National Park is more frequently visited during the summer time especially the holy week. Visitors would bathe in the mountain spring resort or explore the park’s vast area.
Bulabog Putian National Park spans parts of Dingle and San Enrique. To get to the park from Iloilo City, ride a “Dingle” jeepney in Tagbak Terminal, Jaro. Once in the town proper, you can hire a tricycle, which will take you to the park’s receiving area. The entrance fee in Bulabog Putian National Park for locals is P8 and P80 for foreigners. There are tour guides available for P180.

im uncomfortable with the apartheid price system,I will not go there as long as they ask 10 times the normal price, it makes me feel like a cow being milked in stead of visitor!
we went there last year and this price system is not effective anymore. we are locales of iloilo and we were disappointed to have paid 100 php for tourists because we only prepared 8php. lol. good thing we had extra bucks. beautiful, enchanting nature trip.
i’ve been here..old highschool days in SSC!.we’ve entered 4 or 5 caves, i remember encountering a monkey and some snakes but tour guides assured that they’re harmless..nice place indeed to go nature tripping..

hi, its a good thing that the ilonggos still has a national park wherein the everything in that park is protected by LAW, well………..EXCEPT FOR ITS VISITORS……you asked why? Well, recently, some friends of mine went there for a sort of a study on some specie of plant; unfortunately everyone visiting there are asked to write on the logbook or list on the parks office as to their name and contact number (luckily no address was required); now, I was so disgusted that a park ranger/personnel somehow went over the logbook to look for the contact number (mobile number) of my friend (my fiance’ actually) and started to dial and text my friend’s number which is annoying and disgusting. PLEASE, TO THE AUTHORITIES CONCERNED, SEE TO IT THAT PROPER CONDUCT AND FORMALITY IS EXERCISED BY ALL PARK PERSONNEL ESPECIALLY TO THE LOGBO0K WHICH IS CONFIDENTIAL IN NATURE, THAT NO ONE MUST HAVE ACCESS TO IT EXCEPT FOR THE PARK SUPERINTENDENT. The park rangers should have no access to the logbook, thats all im asking……….and by the way, the park is nice and peaceful.

Nami ni sya nga trekking experience for everyone. Nakadtuan na ini namon sang akon Environmental Science classes sugod sang 1997, kag kada tuig gid ginadala ko diri ang akon students hasta sang 2004. Nauntat lang ato sang naghalin ako sa akon school kag sa akon dutang natawhan.
Recommended for high school students. Another great place to go to is the Maasin Watershed and the Barbaza Refuge in Antique. Kinahanglan galing matulog gid kamo didto, which we actually did.

kaya ang Bulabog kadtuan half-day? like leave the city after lunch, then back to the city mga 4 pm?
We usually start off from Jaro at 8am, and end up going back to school at 5pm.
Pwede ka man ka kadtu to lunchtime then go home at 4 pm, if you only visit the first 3 nearest caves. But you should enter the longest and darkest one to get this thrilling experience of spelunking. I guess it is the 4th cave.
we just visited it lately, October 9, 2009 the place is very beautiful ! especially the memorial tower, the tower is very high, you can see the place up of the tower.that’s the very memorable field trip I’ve ever experience in my life.

Bulabog Putian is something Ilonggos should be proud of. It is such a marvelous place to visit, spend time with friends and family most especially for nature fanatics. It is roughly a several kilometer walk; however, every step is probably worth it.
You may also ask for the help of forest rangers in exploring the place.
