The foundations of the future Buhang Bridge are being laid as part of the Iloilo Flood Control Project. In a few months, an artificial river shall be flowing in this area.

The Iloilo Airport is the first in the Philippines to have tubes designed to separate arriving and departing passengers. Arriving passengers go down a ramp leading directly to the baggage claim area on the ground floor. Departing passengers use a different ramp from the pre-departure area located on the second floor.
