Cathay Pacific arrives in Iloilo

Posted by Marcos C.

Cathay Pacific, a Hong Kong based airline, has just recently opened their new ticketing office in Iloilo City to cater to passengers in Western Visayas. It is located in D’ Arthur Suites along General Luna St., City Proper.

Currently, Cathay Pacific does not service direct international flights in the New Iloilo Airport (just like in the case of Davao). If there is enough demand though, they would most likely consider putting up direct flights to international destinations. Their main market could be overseas filipino workers (OFWs) having roots in Western Visayas, tourists visiting Iloilo and using it as a gateway to nearby provinces, or even Koreans going to Iloilo to study English.

This new development surely takes Iloilo one step closer to its desire of having international flights to complement its new modern airport.

I am a truly born Ilonggo. And about this, I cheers more greatly to Iloilo about this news. Ang news nga-ni nakita ko man ni sa Panay News. And about that, mas-maayo pa ang Iloilo kaysa sa Manila. The Perspectively reason was that nga ang mga Muslims gina kontra nila didto diri yah, damu ang nakita ko sa mga Shopping Malls kag Streets Vendors and City Escapers diri sa Iloilo, kag gina pabay-an talang sila ya. Kag wala si kabalo ng ang Diyos sang Islam (The Religion of Muslims) was the same as Christians and Judaism (The religon of the Jews) worshipped of. Islam is one of the religions that rooted from the biblical tradition also Christianity and Judaism. Islam has 25 Prophets and 23 of them are found also on Christian Bible and Jew Torah. They cannot say that the God Of Islam is not the same as Christians and Jews worshipped of.

And I what I can say about Iloilo Is that nga ang Iloilo mas mang-garanon pani siguro sa Cebu kag Makati kay may train na ta nga ipa tindug, damu na nga Airline Company nga gina siling nga sa future ma start na sila International Flights sa Airport sang lloilo.
And whats the use of Coal fired power plant. Maka pollute lang na sa Environment. Nga-a indi nalag sila mag pa tindug sang Wind Farm ukon Hydro Electric o Geothermal kay ang gina kwa-an sang mga ini Cheap lang pero indi na mag bakal sang diesel, mag bungkal sang bukid for coal para maka generate sang kuryente.

Hi Marcos! That’ great news of CP’s move opening up a ticket office in Iloilo City. That way, it will be easier for me confirming my flight back to Canada on Jan of 09. For now, I’m holding my horses as I’m booked for Toronto-HongKong-Manila this December. Unless they decide to do it earlier (HongKong-Iloilo), I won’t have ample time changing my flight plan. At any rate, ILOILO HERE I COME!!!
