It was yet another successful Iloilo Dinagyang Festival this 2009, which was held last week. Here are the results of the major competitions namely, the Kasadysahan, Dinagyang Ati, and Luces in the Sky – Iloilo PyroOlympics.
Dinagyang Ati Competition 2009
4th runner-up: Tribu Himal-us (Province of Guimaras)
3rd: Tribu Silak (Iloilo City National High School)
2nd: Tribu Ilonganon (Jalandoni National High School)
1st: Tribu Bola-Bola (Iloilo National High School)
Champion: Tribu Paghidaet (La Paz National High School)

Best in Performance: Tribu Paghidaet
Best in Headdress: Tribu Paghidaet

Kasadyahan Competition 2009
4th: Tribu Tultulgan (Municipality of Maasin)
3rd: Tribu Bayluhay (Municipality of San Joaquin)
2nd: Tribu Madia-as, formerly Tribu Mandurriaonon(Mandurriao National High School)
1st runner up: Tribu Saad (Municipality of Leganes)
Champion: Tribu Kasag (Municipality of Banate)
Special Awards:
Best in Street dancing: Tribu Saad
Best in Production design: Tribu Kasag
Best Theme concept: Tribu Bayluhan
Best in Choreography: Tribu Kasag

this is the second year of Tribu Kasag, last year the tribe won the 1st runner up behind Tribu Saad..but neverlack the style and never stops gaining the admiration from spectators, this time they did it capturing the coveted grand champion title..marc we did met after the our last performance at prov capitol..thanks for supporting and promoting our ilonggo culture and tourism..keep up the good work!
