Two months from now, Iloilo will once again celebrate the highly anticipated Dinagyang Festival, a religious and cultural celebration held both to honor the Santo Niño and to celebrate the arrival on Panay of Malay settlers and the subsequent selling of the island to them by the Atis. Nadumduman ko sang una galagaw kami mga 12mn sa city proper to check out the Dinagyang competing teams practicing, tapos after lagaw-lagaw, mabakal kami pancho kag pandesal sa Buho tupad Sun Yat Sen. Is Buho still operating? Namiss ko buhay Iloilo.
ahh, hehe. Yes Buho is still there … last time I was there, it was after a nightout in smallville. We made a quick stop in buho before going to Fort San Pedro to see the sunrise.
I’ve only been to Iloilo once (to attend a birthday party/dedication of my godson), but I fell in love immediately to the place.^.^ I would love to be a part of this upcoming event.^.^
