Fiesta in the City promotes Iloilo towns on May 21-27

Organized by SM City Iloilo in Cooperation with the Department of Tourism Region VI the weeklong celebration has just about everything festive for an event.

With a wide variety of local-made products to native food, festival performances to festival muses presentation and parade, and a rich cultural heritage. The celebration is dedicated to the mission of bringing the different provinces in the region together by providing a common activity where they can showcase not only products or events, but as well as ideas through a festive display, distinguished by Ilonggo’s legendary warmth and hospitality.

This year the “Fiesta in the City” has some interesting events lined up all week:

May 21 (4PM) – Opening Ceremony and presentation of Katagman Festival of Oton (Lower Ground Floor)
May 22 (4PM) РModa Pi̱a Fashion Show (Lower Ground Floor)
May 23 (4PM) – Tigkalarag Festival of Pavia (Lower Ground Floor)
May 24 (4PM) – Binanog Festival of Lambunao (Lower Ground Floor)
May 25 (4PM) – Bar Wars by Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus (Lower Ground Floor)
May 25 (4PM) – Kahilwayan Festival of Santa Barbara (Lower Ground Floor)
May 26 (4PM) – Grand Sagala of Festival Queens with Jake Cuenca (Lower Ground Floor)
May 27 (4PM) – Closing Ceremony featuring Passi performing arts (Lower Ground Floor)

May 21-27 (4PM) – Trade Fair, featuring products from Antique, Aklan, and different towns of Iloilo. Exciting activities at the trade fair include: Lanot Bag Making of Janiuay, May 22; Bobbin Lace Making of Santa Barbara, May 23; Nito Bag Making of Barotac Viejo, May 24; Hablon Weaving of Miagao, May 25; Sawali Making of Maasin, May 26; Miniature Sailboat-Making of Guimaras, May 27 (1-5pm, Lower Ground Floor).
