I love this place! My family and I went here just two weeks ago while we’re visiting relatives in Iloilo. Found ourselves this really great guide through FB, Tibiao Adventures. The waterfalls, kawa hot bath and fish spa were my favorite. So excited to go back next year :-)

I’m from Iloilo and i’ve been to almost every part of the country for adventure but never been to Antique… what an irony hehehe. I want to go to Tibiao for a two-day adventure but we are not planning for a package tour. We’re planning to get a tour guide on our own and experience the adventure on our own time without anu constraint or pressure from a paid guided tour. Is there anyone there who can share his own experience on Tibiao and help us prepare for our adventure??? Please offer suggestions, thank you.

You can try contacting ‘Kayak Inn’ management (+63)930-127-5197 or (+63)905-906-2380. Accommodations at ‘Kayak Inn’ is very affordable for budget travelers.
Tibiao was one of the towns affected by Typhoon Yolanda. You might want to check if facilities are still operational before your visit.

Best to contact Katahum tours about transportation to/from Tibiao.

Thanks for this posting! I was looking at this trip with Tribal Adventures but it was way out of my budget, Katahum Tours is a much better fit.

I’m assuming the rafting path isn’t at all that dangerous or risky based on the pic. Still looks fun though. The local DOT should promote more on these attractions. A blogger is more efficient that those lazy agencies.

I sing ” we built this city”
(screaming!)Say you don’t care who goes to that kind of place
Too many runaways eating up the night
” Don’t you remember? We built this city, We built this city on rock and roll!”
We just want to dance here, They call us irresponsible, write us off the page.
It’s just another Sunday, Who counts the money ,underneath the bar?
Don’t tell us you dont need us, ’cause we’re the simple fools.
“The City by the Bay, the city that rocks, the city that never sleeps”

This is excellent- the amount of detail and the pictures. But my goodness, who was taking the photos while you were river rafting? The rapids looked treacherous. Great itinerary, will definitely put it in the “must go there one day” file.

Antique is one of the undiscovered tourist destinations in the Philippines, IMO. There’s a lot of excellent places to visit in the whole province.

I have actually been in three provinces in Panay (iloilo, Aklan, Capiz) but never in Antique. I thought it was a deserted place. LOL. But this post made me think otherwise
