The Iloilo Boulevard located along the Iloilo River is Iloilo City’s newest recreation destination. It is a great place to have a leisurely stroll, go biking, hang out with friends and family, or simply enjoy the great view of the Iloilo River during sunset.

The riverside promenade starts from Barbeque Park along Diversion Road (near Marina) and then passes through the Riverside Boardwalk and the salt beds in Brgy. Tabucan, Mandurriao. The stretch ends in Carpenter’s Bridge, which was recently closed to vehicular traffic and beautified with a cobble-stone laden road. The exhilarating experience is best capped with a meal at the humble Andes Patahan or Casual Dining at Messe Ristaurante near the bridge.

WOW…i really miss a lot in Iloilo…it’s been 6 long years since i leave iloilo…
Awesome! I hope the city will keep the blvd. as beautiful as ever! And I am hoping to see tall buildings in that area in the near future. Cheers! ;)
tani cgi2x gid nga i beautify ang iloilo city para nga ang mga utod ta nga sa gwa sang pinas maganyat nga magbakasyon if not for good diri sa aton banwa. HALA BIRA ILOILO!
the reason why some people criticize this so called Iloilo Boulevard is because it’s not totally called boulevard..the road project was not totally curve base on river ladnscape..siguro may gin paboran gin man nga mga private owners
why hadn’t the local government done something about it?
Would have been nicer had they only followed the shape of the river.
or much better i extend pa gid asta sa Oton with both side of the river being dredge..
Well, in that case, they surely have to see to it that the depth of the water level during low tide could still suffice the weight of the boat and the passengers. Basi bala maguot…hahaha….
It will be a big boom to the Iloilo River should this spectacular project be realized. Feeling mo nasa Vienna ka lang….hehehe
I liked the idea of the river cruise also.
I hope the limit it to pedestrians too. It’s currently a great breathing space in the city and gets a bit crowded during late afternoons.
It would be an excellent idea to open up a passenger cruise from Gaisano City up to Carpenter’s Bridge. Not only could we get rid of the terrible road congestion along Gen. Luna Street down to Molo – a cause of major delay; we can as well shorten the travel time while cruising along the beautiful newly constructed Iloilo Boulevard
Better yet extend it to all the way to Muelle Loney so that visitors would be able to embark/disembark in front of the Iloilo Customs Building / Aduana.
thats is so cool…i havent been back in iloilo for quite sometime the last time ive there, i dont think that boulevard has finish…theres no place like iloilo i love that city!!!!!im so proud that they have done something beautiful to that city….ive been wishing that to happen eversince….hi everyone from iloilo!!!!!the land of the smile!!!!!
Finally, nahuman guid man ang Iloilo Riverside Blvd. bah. Hopefully, it will be strictly for pedestrians ONLY. This project opens up other exciting possibilities/activities around Iloilo River. Thanks for the update, Marcos.
Good project, another tourist attraction for Iloilo, more to come, like a river cruise.
