This brilliant video was a joint project of Mayad Studios and Iloilo Convention and Visitors Bureau (ICVB) to promote Iloilo as the next big convention destination in the country. It even comes with a dvd, which contains information about Iloilo, as a convention destination and a feature of each of the ICVB’s member hotels. This is the cover of the DVD posted in the multiply account of Mayad Studios.

mr bad wolf i dont think shock and awe works now… it was already used in iraq war and it backfired to the us. cla na subong na shock and awe.cguro what we need is constant planning and improvemnt and importantly its sustainable. bc bla la na ta pang “surge”. consider our political system and the private sector as well as our resources.
replythank you.
Madamu gid nga salamat for your comments!
planindug balahibu ko sa comments. hehehe
chymera00, ive that one too. sa sky, its quite long kay daw documentary gd sya. nasanay kami b ubra sang short vids.
i hope well do a long one for iloilo too, thats if kung may ma tap sa amon to do it. hahah
thanks sir jason!
replyAstounding work. I’ll take the next flight in!
replychy, we’re actually planning to suggest the idea sa DOT anytime soon as long as we’re not busy. The ICVB project is still ongoing as we will still be taking clips of the different hotel members because each of them will be having a simple 30 second spot in the interactive cd which would showcase how the hotel looks. The cd would also be presented to IRA because it also contains a list of restaurants. If you want to see what i’m talking about, i’m just a text away, ara man kmi usually sa WVSU since we’re the ones who made their website. It’s not yet complete though… Oh well…
replyWell, you should suggest to them the idea. The only video feature I’ve seen about Iloilo was the ones you see on Channel 13 (Sky Cable) created by a foreign production.
With all due respect to the makers, they videos are fine depending on the market they are showing the video to but Iloilo needs a promotional video feature/documentary that is more mainstream and can easily attract attention.
replyHi everyone! Thank you so much for the positive comments! We’re really shocked of the reaction! Salamat gid ya!
Bad_wolf, If ever we would be commissioned to do a docu on Iloilo, we would step up to the challenge!
Can we ask for the address of your website? :D
Cheers!
replyI already added the link to my site too heheh! I simply can’t resist the urge to do so. :=) I also emailed our foreign-based clients the link for the video. I’m sure they are ecstatic as we are.
Hope we have a followup video…a longer one since the initial video was more of an ad. Maybe a video docu perhaps on Iloilo? I know it might look like a bigger project but that would be natural next step. The 1st video was like a shock & awe thing. The next move should be something more substantial, more specific…like a 10-15 minute video with more info. Like what the military does…blast them with artillery and while they are in awe and shocked…move in fast with the troops and tanks to occupy and never let go. heheheh! thats how we grab tourists and investors…of course, we have to deliver the goods as advertised or else..kaput! ;)
So anything in the works out there?
replyDon’t ask permission from me, I wasn’t involved in the production of the video :) I just posted a link too
replyAstig! chym I will make a link to this video ha. thanks man.
replyThanks Doc RD ;)
@Nang Karen: the text for the video was simply perfect, idol gd ya.
