Iloilo Malls

Iloilo Mall Directory

Even in the past, Iloilo was already a forerunner in business and trade. Before the turn of the 20th century, Hoskyns and Co., the first department store in the country, opened in Calle Real, the prime shopping district of the city back then. Today, the huge consumer spending in Iloilo has given rise to several malls in the city.

    Hi,

It’s my second time to go to Iloilo and I need to find out where to buy native products/items made by the locals. Something that will remind me about your province everytime I see it.

Windy, try Iloilo Producers Assoc Display Center near Iloilo City Hall. There’s a good collection of saleable Iloilo items on racks so you’ll have good choices of different products that will surely brings back your Iloilo memoirs.

Food-wise, The Biscocho Haus in Jaro and Panaderia de Molo in Molo are simply the best! Of course, other food products are available in leading bakeshops around the city like Wewin’s, JD, Tibiao, etc.

    Cheers.

chy I think some of them are not considered as Mall but as Department store like Gaisano Guanco. Also, makro is not considered as Mall but a wholsaler supermarket. We need to be specific and precise as to avoid scrutiny. ;)

Why not Mall of Asia instead of SM City?..SM City can be renovated to Mall of Asia, I mean the SM City in Diversion Raod. Bacolod City’s SM City rocks! Well, Iloilo City’s infrastructures are on way. Just keep up the good work Iloilo City and Province. Cheers!

The worst mall service I have come across is Gaisano City mall. Makes me wonder how come the service is so poor when they hire university graduates. 5 sales people made me wait for 15 minutes so all 5 of them could fix a TV while I wanted that very second to buy a rice cooker. That’s great business. And this is not only a one time deal.

Obviously gaisano City mall management has o regard for the people living around the area because they blast the base of their sound system as early as 6 AM. Now how loud? It is enough to shake the 2nd floor of the house I am in. I mean come on! You can be loua but not that loud! At 6 AM, too.

sm city iloilo had made improvements and looks better than before, robinson’s not so nice inside, worst mall for me is gaisano city iloilo it needs a major renovation inside – out. i’m from bacolod and it’s really nice to know that western visayas (iloilo city and Bacolod city) are beginning to grow as a metropolis.
