I think Assumption’s gym is just the renovation of the old one, making it bigger. AFAIK, the gym was last renovated (or expanded rather) during 1999, with the new swimming pool.

marcus, i think i found some interesting article on the ‘net about iloilo, check these out:
    1) http://www.philippinebusiness.com.ph/archives/magazine/vol10-2003/10-9/geographics.htm

    2) http://www.neoit.com/pdfs/whitepapers/OIv3i09_1005_Philippines-City-Competitiveness.pdf

The first talks about iloilo in general and the second talks about iloilo as a BPO and outsourcing destination. I hope you will find the articles to your liking and post it.

WOW ILOILO, the Next Big Thing guid iya ah! BTW, what we gonna do with these tons of garbage left by “Frank” all over Panay Island?!! We just wanna know, ok. Suggestion is to segregate the garbage(s). Cans should be placed in separate bag, papers should be placed in another bag, plastics should be placed in another bag.. and so on and on. Then, burn the plastics, papers, pieces of woods except the cans and bottles. Thanks!

BTW, I heard about City Hall’s project proposal that the said budget isn’t enough for 8 story building due to instant increase of construction materials. My opinion is… start the construction first while processing the additional budget duh! I dunno why these leaders are hard to understand sometimes. Are they real to pursue this project??? Hey! this is City Hall, this project ain’t joke! Bye!!

  14. Posted July 13, 2008 at 9:41 am |

Another thing. These leaders are very slowwww! What are they waiting for?? For another price increaseeee??!!

I am happy to hear about the 300 families victimized by Typhoon Frank be relocated in San Isidro, Jaro through “Gawad Kalinga Movement”. I wish that the relocation site will be subdivided equally and with complete facility like drainage and water lines. The plan houses do not need to be expensive, the bottom line is that the said plan houses will be built nice and descent looking inline houses in that area. If possible with concrete or asphalt road is passable to two pedicabs. And a yard wide of sidewalk in both sides. Kon kita guid man nagaplano nga aton panami-on ang aton nga ciudad kag banwa sang ILOILO ukon bilog nga Panay, himu-on ta ang HUSTO nga plano. : )

[re=65787]Jolly[/re]: i think they already started the condominium project for those affected plus 200 more w/ complete facilities including elevators that could accomodate at least 3 pedicabs. also this structure is typhoon and flood proof. keep you posted.

Townsville is not part of Aurora Subdivision but part of Brgy.San Felix,Iloilo City which connects to the said subdivision. I was able to inquire and check on one of their room, and it cost Php6000/month if you would like to stay on a monthly basis or 2 week stay. i haven’t check on them lately so i’m not quite sure if they have changed their rate or not. with regards to their studio, it looks cozy to me and they have a little kitchen right beside the front door. however you just have to provide the furnishings for the room like bed, chairs, tables etc. their building has security guard and just few meters away from it is the Brgy.Tanod outpost which makes the place quite safe.

ahh, thanks for the tip Rato. I haven’t checked out their studios but they have a nice looking building P6,000 is good already considering they are in a convenient and safe location.

Hi Marcos! that was a quick response ^_^ you’re welcome!
Actually you are right, the location is safe and convenient. It’s pretty close to malls(like the Atrium, Robinsons and SM City), restaurants(like Esca’s, Ocean City,Bario Inasal,Dos Marias & Tijuana.)&hospitals(like Iloilo Doctor’s Hospital & St. Paul’s)

    Road maintenance is a MUST!

  19. Posted October 12, 2009 at 9:17 am |

We DON’T really need another flyover, it’s a waste of money. We already have these access roads, I think flyover is not the solution.

I just click this website or the threads just to check my beloved city, ILOILO that’s it. And I see lots of improvements out there. ILOILO International Airport is awesome! Thanks God! :)

  25. Posted March 1, 2010 at 2:14 pm |

I want circumferential road all over Panay Island like in Northern Luzon. We call it here an “Interstate Highway”. The thing is Interstate Highway doesn’t have a toolgate, like in the Philippines. I don’t have any comment on that because we really need maintenance for the highways. Holla!

  26. Posted March 1, 2010 at 2:20 pm |

And I wish the road project will start ASAP! Thanks!
