am happy to see the improvement in my hometown, nag nami na gd. peru mas maayo kung gin palaba pa ang fly over like mula xa john b. lackson pakad2 xa atrium. and it is possible kay lapad man ang alagyan.

one thing is that this improvement help for the convenience to each ilonganon in terms of transportation. when i was in skul in USA i pass there in diversion road and so traffic. i had dream to have a fly over. yet it will come true last year of building this 1st fly over. xa mga kasimanwa kuh, halongan kag d pag higkuan ang aton nga fly over para madugangan ang aton infra structure para ma inspire pa ang aton government official nga mag planuh sang parehas sini nga proyekto.

I'm not sure how General Luna Street came about. It's a beautifully-designed boulevard with a tree-studded, landscaped median island, wide verges and good pedestrian-friendly sidewalks. General Luna gives Iloilo a wonderful graciousness that is lacking in so many Philippine cities. It's one of Iloilo City's great assets. The Infante flyover is a horrible, ugly monstrosity desecrating the boulevard. Now even the verges separating the road from the sidewalks are being torn up. Now I read that a Jalandoni flyover is planned. That should complete the destruction of Gen. Luna. Very sad.

Well, the flyover isn't finished. It is expected that the traffic situation right now will be worse because the fly over is impassable yet. I don't think they will not allow public PUJ to passover the flyover, it would defeat the purpose of building the flyover in the first place.

Just returned from Iloilo 9/26/07. Although well intended, the flyover currently appears to be poorly planned and further contributes to traffic congestion in the immediate area. I heard the flyover is supposedly going to be used for PRIVATE vehicles leaving ALL public utility vehicles to funnel through single lanes (travelling towards Iloilo City and Molo). At this time, jeepneys are stopping in the single lanes to pickup passengers creating serious traffic concerns and vehicles are driving on the sidewalks (there are no shoulders) to get around traffic. The City really needs to address this problem and conduct traffic studies prior to the completion of this project. Also has anyone considered the drainage/flooding problems in the area?

it is said by the contractor that the flyover is worth P400M because of its steel structure. And I've heard on the news during the interview that it is an imported and modern type of flyover which is steel which is more costly compared to concrete ones. GOOD day to all!!

ok lang na sa akon. what's a few more weeks? at least our traffic woes going to and from molo will be eased.

chymera...was that flyover really worth P 400M?
