If you want to eat your batchoy in the place where it was first made and sold then there’s no other place but the La Paz Public Market, where you can have other choices aside from Deco’s and Ted’s.

My God!..Teds Lapaz Batchoy is the number one in the City of Iloilo. I’ve been a customer of that joint since I was little. I missed eating there. The reason why, when I get in to Iloilo City, the first thing I do is to go there and eat. That’s it.
La paz batchoy sounds yummy…havent been home for about 9 yrs… june…here i come.. i am looking forward…i justwish there is an option for a bathoy catered to the healthy conscious / and aged population…say low fat, esp no fat of pork and internal organs, and …no msg…
korek la dyan Nanette.it’s d trans fat that is floating,salt and msg that makes it yummy but yea we should develop that awareness and be health conscious coz health will be compromise d and it’s better if they have another menu of noodles that is non-fattening and am pretty sure seniors and mid adults will look for that now that hypertension and high cholesterol is common among filipinos..
I guess Ted’s is starting to address that right now by introducing another “original”…the 100% beef batchoy…the taste is absolutely the best and since it is beef,though not totally cholesterol free, it is less artery clogging than the original pork based concoction hehehe I also just happen to know that the Miswa,Bihon,and Sotanghon Batchoy variants are “original” innovations of Ted’s Oldtimer.
All of you health conscious nuts forget all the artery clogging stuff…enjoy what you eat as long as it’s in moderation. It’s not everyday that you eat batchoy…enjoy ng enjoy. I still remember my first time at Ted’s in 1972.
Batchoy..yeah! I miss it so much. I originally from LaPaz, Iloilo City, where the original batchoys originated…and yeah..I have missed it so much. The Teds Batchoy here in Bacolod is not as good as the Teds in Iloilo.

kon magbakasyon ako once a year una pa ako mahapit sa batchoyan (w/ my family nga naga sugat sa akon) sangsa maderetso sa balay, tuod gid na ya! Wala maka daug sang batchoy ta da sa La Paz a. Mabuhay ang mga Ilongo!
Yum, I always loved the instant La Paz batchoy so I am intrigued how an original recipe would taste like. I need to try it when I get there.

Nahidlaw na gid ko sa batchoy! the batchoy here in metro manila is nothing compared to the batchoy in iloilo… im always dreaming of batchoy and even tried cooking it on my own but i really couldn’t get the taste of the original, well i guess nothing really compared to the original taste of la paz batchoy! how i wish na meron din dito sa metro na nagluluto ng batchoy na ganun din kasarap sa batchoy sa iloilo and surely magiging parokyano ako ng kainan na yon!hehe!

@ALibie Doe helo and good to see you. i suspect youre responding to rosewood which is not in this corner and it might have given pretty inconvenience for some ( including me) since it gives confusion when the owner of the web ( if I am not mistaken) wanting pertinence for any comments here. If not… youre responding from someone else which you did not mention with specifity and i fancy rosewoord is the name of Hotel? and then, you mention “leading land” another points with obscure meaning yet i guess you mean there in a convenient place or location. third, you mention overlooking the water, if one is after accuracy, they might have question if its a glass of water ( although its very unlikely to say so) so if the word is rather complete like ” overlooking the body of water” it might have help a bit , and so i am confident you mean there a pool or a beach, you may correct me If I was wrong and its good were helping and understand each other in a way the best we know how.
