Malumpatan in Pan de Azucar Island

Malumpatan is a small beach found in the coast of Pan de Azucar Island. It is overlain with a pebbled shore and surrounded by interesting rock formations.

A cove-like cliff serves as an interesting backdrop for Malumpatan. A kind of bird use the holes on this rock wall as their home. You can see them flying in and out of them when you get up-close.

On the south side of the island are more of the area’s interesting rock formations overlooking Agho, Bag-o Sipol, and Malangabang Island. I guess the reason why they called this place Malumpatan, which means “a place where it’s safe to jump”, is because people can jump over one of these cliffs and land on the deep waters below (I’m not sure though so don’t blame me if your friends take you to the … Sara District Hospital, I hope that’s enough to get you thinking twice about carelessly doing it).
