It looks like Hon. Mayor Jerry Trenas is planning to rennovate Rotary Park into a terminal for public pump-boats/ferries plying the Iloilo-Guimaras route. This is in line with the program dubbed “Experience Iloilo and Guimaras” which is banked by both LGUs to boost tourism prospects. If you guys have forgotten what Rotary Park is, it’s the abandoned lot, which used to be a ‘favorite’ weekend destination, located near Port San Pedro.
It’s about time, the current terminals in Ortiz and Parola can hardly be considered tourist friendly. Iloilo and Guimaras, needs these kind of infrastructures if they want to be a major player in the highly competitive tourism industry of the Philippines.
