[re=66227]J0[/re]: yo. i think the sanguniang kabataan had already approve the budget to build a bridge that would link iloilo and guimaras. it will be a 3 phase scheme for a period of 3 years also. 1st phase, it would only be passable for people who will walk/jog/run, trisikad and tricycle. 2nd would be for cars, jeepney and van w/ gvw of not more than 40000 kgs, and 3rd phase would be for trucks and buses w/ max gvw of 1 ton. if weather permits max load will be 2 tons.
Wow! This is a dream comes true for the Island of Panay. Road is VERY important wherever you go. Like in the US, the Fed spent billion of dollars all over the states. Btw, I think it’s time for ILOILO-Guimaras bridge to be constructed. Once the bridge is done, Guimaras will be an additional CASH COW for the Island of Panay. I can see the buildings and resorts poping-up in the mountainous Guimaras Island. Cheers!

Gracias! I wish the plan is less than 5 years. We need a good highway at least 4 lanes linking the provinces of ILOILO and Antique. Remember, that the road is ONE way to boast the economy of the two provinces. Cheers! : )
