Philippine Estates to build a mall in Iloilo next year

PHILIPPINE Estates Corp. (PEC) is set to develop two malls in the Visayas region next year.

Elvira Ting, PEC president, told reporters that the company will continue with the development of its residential projects in Cebu and Iloilo by including commercial centers in these projects.

“Definitely, next year, we will go ahead with these projects,” she said.

    i suggest that they will put up that mall in diversion road…. i think that place is very accessible to the people…. Let the battle begin with Robinsons and SM city as their competitor

    I agree, accessibility is also a major factor, probably the reason why Robinsons didn’t take off as successfully as SM City.

    If they can build a mall as big as or probably bigger than SM City, then they’ll probably “suck up” most Ilonggo shoppers to visit their place. Right now, it’s the battle of which is bigger and more shops to offer to the consumers that wins the heart of any spender in town. Hala Bira Iloilo !
