Guimbal Watch Tower
This is a close-up of one of three surviving watchtowers in the southern town of Guimbal. These watchtowers, locally known as “bantayanâ€, were used as lookouts to warn locals of invading Moros way back in the 17th century. This “bantayan†is beside Philmar Beach Resort.
