Raymen Beach Resort, located in Alubihod Beach, is one of the more popular resorts in Guimaras. Raymen Beach Resort is a preferred choice for locals and tourists who are looking to have a relaxing, convenient, and affordable break from the city.
Alubihod Beach is a short white sand stretch surrounded by the inviting blue waters and pristine off-shore islets of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. Alubihod Beach is an excellent jump-off point for Guimaras island hopping tours.
Over the years, Raymen Beach Resort has become the go-to destination for weekend getaways in Guimaras. It’s just an hour away from Iloilo City and offers a tropical paradise beach setting, which is much better than the grey sand beaches in Iloilo mainland and more convenient than the 5-hour travel to Boracay Island.

How to Get to Raymen Beach Resort / Alubihod Beach
Raymen Beach Resort is one hour away from Iloilo City. The first leg of the journey is the 15-minute ferry ride from Ortiz Port in Iloilo City Proper to Jordan Wharf in Guimaras. Look for the Guimaras Tourism Office located at the waiting shed outside the arrival area of the Jordan Wharf. The tourism officer can arrange your transportation to Raymen Beach Resort or any destination in Guimaras. There’s a set rate for vehicle rentals regulated by the Guimaras Provincial Government. No need to worry about over-priced rates. Raymen Beach Resort / Alubihod Beach is 45 minutes away from Jordan Wharf. There are three transport options to choose from depending on your group size and preference. Rates for tricycles (4 to 5 people), multicabs (8 to 10 people), shuttle van / L300 (10 to 14 people) range from P250 to P500 per vehicle.
Taking the passenger jeepney is the cheapest option especially for independent travelers. The jeepney loading/unloading station is located near the exit of Jordan Wharf (past the waiting shed). Just ignore the crowd of touts and tell them that you’re planning on commuting to Alubihod.
- Ride a “Nueva Valencia” jeepney (30 to 45 minutes) – P40 per passenger
- Tell the driver to drop you off at the gas station / intersection going to Alubihod Beach
- Ride a single motorcycle to Raymen Beach Resort (10 minutes)
Island Hopping Tours from Alubihod Beach
Popular destinations for the island hopping tours in Alubihod include Ave Maria Beach, Lawi Marine Turtle Rescue Center, Buho Ramirez Cave, and Baras Beach Resort. Tourists wanting to venture out further could also visit the SEAFDEC Research Center, Isla Pulang Pasayan (Tiniguiban Island), Guisi Beach and Lighthouse. The booking station for the island hopping tours is located at a make shift kiosk along Alubihod Beach. Unless you’re scrimped on time, there’s no need to make prior reservations since there are a lot of pumpboats (motorized outrigger) available and the boatmen charge a fixed rate.

Galit ka parin yata eh. LOL Kasi palibhasa critcize ka nang criticize sa iban diyan at sa ibang mga ciudad na hindi naman gaanong kalalaim yung nalalaman mo.
translate:
You are angry. It’s because you criticize always others and other peoples city here without knowing the issue deeply. I read your arguments together. It was funny you made so many attempts to cover up. hehe anywats I hope you stop in complainning always in this site, it’s hard getting information that is useful with you always so angry and negative or being arrogant. Thanks anyways.
Sorry again for my limited english.
My comment dated —> July 19, 2011 at 3:09 pm ” Im sure i need to have a turnoff and turn the way heading to Guisi” then the reverse was happened. ” I went to Guisi and then turn back heading to Raymens”… HAHAHAHA funny!
bakadoublepost , he thinks he wins. Let us keep him dreaming until his next party … I give my time here to serve visitors for any inquiries. I win some I lose some. But i take it as win-win . I win everytime I help in good faith that I know how. while still people continue to ask here direction and stuff. I offer my benevolence and goodwill , He will always stir trouble here with proxy.
Vic!
notice ko lang pare since nang nag debate kayo nung isang poster mukha ka nang nag double time ah? hehe mukhang talong talo ka sa kanya eh.
I noticed since the other guy you were debating and you seem to lost the argument you are starting to make up for it by posting this : (Based on eyewitness acount).
JEJE! Vic looks like you met more than your match.
Sorry sa bad grammer, my english is limited.

Pros
-Quiet, clean, private and accessible location
-Rates are affordable
-Can cook your own food / There’s a grill customers can use
-Toiletries and snacks available inside
Cons
-Not that much to do except swimming and renting a small boat
-Staff could be more accommodating
-They confuse our orders and quite a few errors on our bill
We have been there several times and the place doesn’t seem to change nor does the quality of service. It’s an adequate place for a quick weekend get away though.
Good Day Marcos! I would like to ask if you have a new contact number or any contact number of Villa Igang Beach since I couldn’t contact the numbers posted on the Internet. Thanks and Good vibes!
One of the great resort I’ve ever visited… The sand is almost same with Boracay.. The hopping trip was very Exciting.. It was a very nice trip ever.. experiencing the cave and seeing the “pawikan” was very interesting.. hahaha Thanks to Sir. Migs… God Bless!
@Catn

@rosas in fact the scenery in Raymen sucks… and the place sucks
we would like to make a reservation in Raymen for 1 room good 4 2 ppls. (budget fan room) fm 7-8/1/2012.. thank you
can you please tell me how to get to your place from bacolod? we are planning to get to guimaras on Jan 27, 2012, is there available room good for 4 persons?
wer planing to go in Raymens on dec 18-20, 2011..are there rooms available 4 15 persons??can i have your contACT NUMBER?? thanx
I miss you Guimaras :(
hi! would you happen to have pics of the rooms? are they spacious?
hi! just checking for rates for feb 13-15, 2012. for 4 persons..
a place with potential as French Reviera … beautiful relaxing and full of stone slabs for road paving or building Castle …
wow Guimaras! matamis ang mango diyan. we have our own sweet mango in caraga, carmen town of agusan del norte.
janica guimaras is a very quiet and good place to vist and to relax with nature very affordable prices.but if youll going there better to ave reservation kasi as far as i could remember parang 3 magkakatabing resort jan sa alubijod including te reymens kaya lang minsan if timing sa visit mo fully booked sila so you really ave to do booking…and minsan nga lang as ive noticed may specific resort jan na di maganda ang pakitungo ng staff.but just enjoy te place and the nature wag mo na lang pansinin yung staff and youll really enjoy it..
by te way hope someone from the tourism office of guimaras sanam mag open naman kayo ng site or give us more specific details about some other resorts there in alubijod specifically kasi outdated na ang mostly ng infos na nakukuha ko via online and comeone resort owners if we contact you sana response naman kayo…..alam naming di lang kami ang bumibisita jan sa guimaras at madami kayong guests but sana yung pagiging good nyo towards the guest wag naman sana mawala.
i just wan to ask if safety yung guimaras ? we have our tour kasi for travel and tours operation .. we dont have any idea kasi about the place .. i hope i could get a response as soon as possible.
I can vouch that Guimaras is a very safe place. I found it to be spectacular.
You people posting your questions about the resort are incredibly ridiculous. This is a blog, not the website for the resort.
Do people even have any reading comprehension or read the title of the site?
Just had to get that off.
Raymen’s is peaceful, quiet and most of their clientele are students or professionals doing some seminar or team building what have you.
I agree with most of the post stating that the management is crappy and the accommodations are frankly crap.
We went there as students so it doesn’t really make me that irate but I would never bring my family here.
I agree with you…this is a blog not Raymen’s website (kawawa naman si Marcos nito, he is the one who is blamed for this infact, he posted these information for everybody’s sake).
I have been to Raymen’s countless times, may mga weakness sila but think about why you are there para hindi ma-spoil bakasyon nyo!
wow, really reasonable rates! will definitely keep this in mind when i visit iloilo!
Ive been to Guimaras but only to see the mango farms(their mangoes are the best).I think they should develop the island as a beach destination
hw bout seeing my penis
i will vouch and agree to the above comments. Just recently, we visited the very beautiful breathless Alubijod beach at Guimaras. Sadly Raymen beach resort is the only place where we can spend the night at.
This is just an additional complain. :D
We chose to occupy the room for P1,350 where the front desk officer said it has HOT&COLD water. So, we checked in at 2pm. Unfortunately, after we paid, we just found out the HOT&COLD water at CR is not working. (Payatot pa naman ako at lamig na lamig tuloy ako sa tubig!!) haha
The next day, we woke up early to experience island hopping. We headed to the front desk to pay P400. After 30minutes of waiting, the person in charge for the pumpboat did not yet arrive. Later then we found out that there was a miscommunication between the staff. So we just got a refund and decided to hire other person who offers island hopping service (Amboa Island Hopping, the old guy was really kind and cool but has grudges too to Raymen where he formerly worked lol).
Lastly, even if we checked in at 2pm, they have a policy that the check out time is 12nn. Im not sure why is that. I forgot to ask since they did not even say THANK YOU FOR COMING when we left!
PS The beach and island hopping itself is relaxing and a very nice experience.. I just hope someone will build a resort for this beautiful place, and/or have a better accommodation.
i can gve u a hug f ur cold bb
@all… after reading the comments… i said to myself..i wish i had never read the remarks at all..its all depressing….worst news ive ever read from a popular vacation place with a very hostile , in-hospitable accommodation from that evil-eye canteen despatsadora , to the nightmarish-reservation officer front desk and stuff who looks down on their guests … vacation is a moment when you want a time/and a place as calming to the spirit and making memories with your folks ….. but these seems turns out to be their worst nightmare … are they replaced ?… if not… i expect the worst… On the way to Nueva Valencia…. Im sure i need to have a turnoff and turn the way heading to Guisi … would you want somebody to spoil everything you have had earned for…?
@kate lan… it doesnt in real..the sand are like bigger and coarse….its not fine a pretty pale brown color … the water is not shallow too… very rugged cliffs and rocky roads…
@jovs.. i guess there’s none… If youre familiar a plenty over in Iloilo City area….”nipa huts for overnight stay”…from Oton all the way to Miag-ao… i dont have any idea too… (PG 18)
@Johnson Basanes… try to visit the falls in Jordan and Buenavista…. theres also Guisi in there very nice too…in i visited the remotest beach somewhere in Nueva Valencia too overlooking Pandan… very quite and tranquil….and a Resorts in Navalas…. lol…. having a nice experience and hopefully a good time in my next visit with friends in there…. hahahaha
Actually every year nasa guimaras ako. Every month of october. The is awesome. Thank you alwaysa sa pag cater. This coming october guimaras naman ako ulit. See yeah again. specially sa canteen. Hehehehe. Johnson From bacolod City. Month of october is my 6th year in Raymen Beach Resort

GOD Bless YOu and see you in Our Future Trips.
how much is the rates on june 25-26?
those pictures are very nice,,and the sand…it looks like in bora..
overall, the resort is very good..just the resort though coz i have to agree with most of the guest’s who encountered such a very unpleasant stay.. most of the staff’s are not trained enough to be able to conduct a professional way of dealing with the guest, unless maybe if u are a very tourist looking lots of money type of guest haha i hate it when the lady in the restaurant looked at me head to toe when i asked for a bowl for the ice ,didnt even said a word and called her assistant to talk to me ?? i been around the world, lots of resorts, but Raymen’s?? ila na lang na batasan nila haha.
@ bong, whoa, thanks for sharing those experience, at least i have an idea how to handle people there.,, i should prepare…
HOW MUCH FOR OVERNIGHT ONLY… GOOD FOR 10 – 15 PERSON.PLS. REPLY… TNKS…

This place, Raymen Beach Resort was our sanctuary with my college friends, island hopping before was so difficult, ga renta lang kami sa gamay nga bangka and was a great fun to remember. And as i have seen in some photos there’s a lot of changes and to my surprise we will be having a highschool reunion this coming summer of May 2011,after 15 years i will be back in the place where there is a lot of memories to bring back, so much excited & looking forward for the best regardless some negative comments above,,!!!..All the best Raymen Beach Resort & the staff!!!
very nice spot for relaxation
Raymen’s is good at squeezing juices out their customer’s pocket. Beware of the old hag that hosts their canteen, her eyes only blink when you have a good cash and reputable look. They are really not hospitable and their attitude is just a disgrace for guimaras’ advocacy of welcoming those who visit the island.
i had been there a many tyms bcoz twas an awesome place and d last tym i had s this january 30, 2011 wherein the 3rd tym i encountered ur night shift receptionist whos not gud n dealing customer. The way she approach and explains the inquiries s such a….instead of staying there, we plan to find other place to stay. And next tym i had my family and friends vacation or parties i wud rather find sum place to celebrate. For the owner of this resort, i maybe suggest that next tym u hire a personnel of this resort, try to chose one with gud manner and behavior and well oriented for dealing with customers so that ur customers will stay and be back again.
my friends are planning to go there so I am helping them how to go there because I have already visited there… It was really great… I am really wondering why I tried to contact the number that you have posted here and I can’t contact it…Why? If your phone is off… please turn it on now because I have to reserve rooms… please… Thank you…

judging from what i have read here, the management does not seem to be taking any efforts to reply to clients’ inquiries or complains.
it’s a sad thing to be posting your place in the internet & never bother to tackle your clients’ queries or complaints.
seeing this web site got me excited as i was looking for a place to wallow this christmas. thanks for making me look elsewhere.
Hey Stephen,
Explore Iloilo is not affiliated with Raymen Beach Resort, this post is only for informational purposes. If you have any concerns or inquires pls. contact the resort directly with the provided contact details.
hey MARCOS C. you cant blame the people giving comments here if they think that this site is part of explore iloilo. why dont you look at the upper part of the site where it posts an “explore iloilo” icon and look at the lower left part of the page where it says something about explore iloilo? basing it from there, people will only conclude that this page is part of explore iloilo. and another point, exactly! you said this post is only form information purposes. so, the ones who made this site should have included all the BASIC INFORMATION that the customers might need like for example, the room rates. why are you being so defensive? were you part of making this page? if so, consider this as a constructive criticism. you should do something about this page because it certainly lacks information.
First off, I did not intend to act “defensively.” I was merely making a suggestion in a matter of fact manner.
The place itself is uber beautiful but i don’t think there hospitality is. Why?? Well me and my office mates went there last NOV.3, 2009 for supposedly team building. Never mind the very long (3 hours) waiting for a bangka from pulupandan port (negros) and tiresome 45 minute land travel via a van to sitio alubihod. We had traveled all the way from bacolod city to raymen beach resort for almost 8 agonizing hours (10am to 6pm). prior to that travel, Nov.1,2009 when we call them and made reservation and another call on the said morning of Nov.3 to confirm the reservation of 1 room good for 8 and another one good for 6 to be specific since we are all 16 including myself. Everything was fine along with reservation process and everything. If I may ask, how would you felt if you had traveled for that long and when finally your there booooom! They had given all the rooms to someone else!!!!Where are we staying guys? What will happen now? What is the resolution? What happened to our reservation? That is everybody’s question. POLITELY, we ask what happened and there you had this receptionist of raymen. She had given 2 inconsistent reasons, first the signal of their radio (walkie-talkie) is not good for them to coordinate with each other and the 2nd one is that they had missed a look on the reservation log sheet they had. Instead of apologizing and making some arrangements for our stay…. what she did is walking away from us and never came back. Bastosan ba ito?? Is this a good customer service? Are we the only customers of yours that had experienced this? This place is very dear in the heart of bacolodnon. If you want to be successful on this business please take care of your customers business. To Raymen owner please hire polite and professional employees.
yes!!!!!!!!!
we have experienced this kind of hospitality!
a week ago, my family been in raymen..we’re supposed to stay there for 5 days but because of the KABASTUSAN of the staffs, we decided to transferred in Costa Aguada and stayed there.why not try Costa Aguada guys..i give you 100% assurance.the resort is soooo pretty..its really a good place for people who seeks a paradise-like place.
Hi,
Im looking for a place to stay in this Feb at Guimaras. Hope you can help us find a place to stay for 2-3 days. Initially I was looking to stay at Raymens but no ones answering my messages and calls… any nice hotels will do!
Thanks in advance!
Actually, beach at Raymens isn’t white sand. It’s yellowish/beige. Nice place. Spend a few hundred bucks to rent a banca to take you to the turtle sanctuary, i think a 20 minute ride to some island. Take pictures with the pawikan. You can also also do some snorkling.

is there a boat from bacolod direct to guimaras?
in bacolod drs no boat direct to guimaras, but in the town of pulupandan (which is 30kms south of bacolod and 45 – 1 hr drive), you can ride a boat direct to guimaras, they have trips 3x a day from 8am, 10am, 12nn, and sometimes 3pm if peak season and the weather is good. the fare is just 60pesos and its 45 – 1hr ride. when you reach guimaras, there will be jeepneys and vans available to ride just ask where u want to go and they will guide you what to ride……
