It is so amazing what the technology can do to all of us:-) Probably someone can help me, i graduated in 1987 at Colegio Del Sagrado Corazon De Jesus (Colehiyala man gid oy, he,he,he) I’m not really sure if my bisaya is correct but at least i’m trying really hard not to forget where i came from, i love and miss Iloilo City, and i’m proud to be an “ilongan”. I haven’t been home since i got married to a US Marines and i guess it’s time for me to go home huh! hey! hey! hey! may plano na bala nga himu-on nga education capital of the philippines ang ililo because of the reason that, even if its a province, mas damo sya eskwelahan for a small province and take note, lapta lapta pa na, ang wvsu may campuses sa janiuay, lambunao kag calinog. amo mang ang wvcst… saide sa la paz, may ara sila sa miag-ao kag barotac… true, ginagamit sang mga schools di sa manila ang mga names sang schools jan sa iloilo… manila doctor’s college… may st. paul university man sila di… pero ga stand out guid ya ang st. paul iloilo sa nursing, bisan diri sa FEU, maugong guid na sila! and of course, inde madula akon ex school… UPV!! wahahahahaha!! UPV dominates accountancy, chemistry, food tech, management and fisheries courses… UPV have the highest passing % for accountancy and fisheries… last time, top 10 sang fisheries exam puro taga UPV! hahahahaha!!

Nowadays, what matters most is to get a job regardless of which school you graduated from. What is the worth of obtaining a course from a reputable school when you just end up jobless after spending your time, money and effort? IF I’m not mistaken, CPU ranked 32 in overall ranking in the Philippines. But if we base it per colleges, Nursing here is number 1, so is Fisheries. Then for Med Tech and for General Medicine, we are in the top 10. We are also the pioneers in Packaging Engineering and we have the first Maritime University in the Country. Then for Engineering and Criminology, we have been accredited by PAASCU. Overall, we have produced Vice Presidents, ArchBishops, Senators, Businessmen and other great minds.

GMA’s pardon has a good side.First, it can unite the opposition and administration at some points. Next, with their unity, progress will become faster. Let’s think outside the box please. I honestly believe GMA is doing her best for this country. ANd let’s not be proud in saying we were second to Japan because even though we were that, most of the money came from US and without that, we would be in the levels of Malaysia at that time. We were still 3rd world in the 40’s no matter the title of 2nd richest in Asia because at those time, many of our citizens were starving and heavily dependent on the Americans.

Mga taga iloilo mga bukid non kag your place its a place full of dead people..no life..no colours at all.. what kind of a city is iloilo……… Ofcourse I am not from Iloilo neither Im in the Philippines right now…. But I do really look up to the People and Professors alike running the helm of WEst Vis. I havent met as down to earth excellent English Professors like them in my lifetime. Like Dr. Lopez and et al…They are good Im sure a par as the professors from the proud UP people……….

West Visayas State. Univ. the uni.. I could recommend with out batting an eye lash.. anyways.. Try this Univ..you will be in loved… after.. Not that their perfect.. Professors there know what they are being impated to every recepient with utmost regard to human side of any individual….in short.. You will be taught with the best pedagogy in the city….KEEP IT UP WEST vi.. By the way I took my MA in PUP I finished my undergrad in LCC and STI Manila……..for the record. I tool special course in language at West Visayas state uni i am now working here in Bangkok…

Bisan diin ka malang nag graduate nga School kon didicated ka maka graduate at resourceful maging successful ka gd…I’m from NIPSC Estancia, Educ. grad. then take 1 sa LET secondary level. Nag work sa different offices sa Ayala Makati, Nag aply ako sa Distance Education sa UP so far nakapasa , now I’m working Sa Telus International Philippines as Case Manager prior to my designation as Team Captain. Then still pursuing Distance education sa UPLB at my Teaching load ( technical writing ) sa International Electronics and Technical Institute sa Guadalupe mall sa Makati. May mga MA Units ako Saint Joseph College QC-Sped, ESL sa UE Caloocan, MAT sa University of Makati. Nag work sa different call centers ( Ambergris Solutions, eTelecare, Globe, Zahav Kesseph, Teletech,VXI at Worlwide Access..Wala ko ga pa hambog, gusto ko tani maging model sa mga pigado tulad ko..graduated working student.In addition my MA units ako sa WVSU, with Dr. Ticao, Cordero..Kilala ako ni dating University President Dr. Lourdes Aranador.I’m from Tabu an , Estancia Iloilo.

Guys, indi nyo pag generalize ang mga JBLFUians nga mga hambog kag tikalon….although i believe nga may ara gid man….and sadly, even in each school. Funny, there are even some of you who said: “wala ko ga pahambog…” but listed all his/her achievements which seem to imply the opposite…hahaha…Unfortunately, this attitude has been innate in us filipinos wherever you go..tsk…tsk…tsk…But on the other hand, there are also those who prefer not to be noticed in spite of all their successes and achievements. These are the kind of people we should really try to emulate. If the way, one treats people on the way up, is the way one gets treated on the way down. Agustinian forever!

to all seaman / wala labot ang midshipman da hah, wala pa kamo ka suka. tikal lang anay kag patisoy lang kamo anay da..

mas pina easy pa ang pagkuha sang exam subung, as a Walk in exam sang PRC , sa subung sa maritime muna but in the following year basi sa iban naman nga mga profesions, requirements, compete your sea service and a OS, AB, not included ang messman and GP. secure lang kamo sang Sea service form sa PRC iloilo or manila before mag sakay kay ano na ang fill upan nyo sa barko onboard and the same time sa Logbook, nyo, walk in exam makuha na minimum 1 month review lang unlike written exam nga 3 months ang review, and seguraduhay gid na yah. if fail ka fail gid na, if pasar pasar gid na , unlike written nga kuhaon pa ang median sabi nila, 70% lang ang kuhaon sa mga nakapasar , in my own knowledge bisan pasar kapa lagpok ka man gihapon if dala ka. for ch officer also, its very nice, but be sure ka mag review kamo kay ang review center amo ang ga upload sang application nyo sa prc , puede man kamu mag apply onlne but nami gid and 90% ka nga confident ka sa exam mo, take note: 98% ang gakapasar sa walk in exam, not a problem kung mahina ka, review ka lang in 5 month (not one month) kuha mo gid na, but make sure lang gid ,, lantawaon mo man sa self mo kung qualifying ka man nga mag risk to tale exam. in the end ikaw man gihapon ang ag suffer sa barko kung wala ka kabalo sa ginahimo mo, good luck and god speed,

ang literacy diri sa iloilo more of a matter of goinga degree and passing the board pero and dapat nga literacy ta comprehension and not only in your field it should be a wholistic comprehension of what is happening around us..

wala kami gapahambog school namun ah kay wala kami mastate nga proof be nga gaperform kami well as we donot consider prc as a source of our performance kumbaga sa upv cm we donot prepare students to the cpa board we train students to become accountants…consider the difference ahh and you will see how your school has oriented you…cpa or any board is justy a pass kumbaga ….kun wara da ginprescribe kang law wara ta exam but then the purpose is really good diba para may control ta sa mga practitioners as well as government erans from it apart from the taxes we pay..tagpila na lisenxa subong haw tagpila magreview? na amu na xa …..

amu na nga hasta subong daw wala ta ya pagbag-o…ang aton nga mind is full of thoughts that are really you tam-an ka colonial….we tend to be employees to live rather than employers muh kay te gusto ta daku sweldo ta dayun……..employers as entrepreneurs ah……..nowe if we speak of capital di ko na ya problema hay ideas are the only capital that i can think of…….even on accounting perspective ang kwarta di na ya capital….angal mga accounting ah hehe….the purpose of putting cash or money in the the owners equity or capital account is for balncing the accounting record but you donot need money tio start a business rightly or i shall say you donot need money of your own to start abusiness…its a matter of idea and that’s where you should think of how your school has prepared you……di ko ya mamuya pero tan-awa bla ang mga asawa sang seaman damu utang diba? considering that they have more than enough money to spend if we base it on the current exchange…….

dollars are for the americans really…..i am assuming nga bal-an nyu ni sa kadamo na sang nursing sa us kag sa iban dugangan sang mga dh kag seaman mga engineer damu ang returns sa aton sang dollars and time will really come that one dollar will just be a peso or two …….everytime there is an increase in the remittance,the current exchange rate of dollar drops. us needs dollars that we ofws are sending and thus they have to bargain te anu nalang be matabo sa kapitan sang barko kun ang 10000 us dollars ya nahimu nalang nga 30 to 40 thousand pesos…….exag man gro ang 1:1 sa curencuy but it is possible considering the fall of the american economy today……… the fall of the economy is bad for others but some of the countries in asia learned from these and thus they have succumbed to their own resources also in a way naging self sufficient sanda ya kita mo na nag us naga import pa crude oil sa opec despite of there petroleum reserves it because of the american way of educating their people….aton ya daw mapatay ta bla bwas life is too short thus we have to live to the fullest today because we have the opportunity to… yet our life tends to become longer with all the medical advancements today…buhi ka na subong bisan mat malaria ka di pareho sang una muh………too bad american education as claimed here in our country is too elementary…we need a long term study and cultural change in order to this…long term investments(by investments i donot just define it in the context of business but all that can be considered as inverstment be it money, idea or opportunity…….. we are too exploited by the thought of riches of course we cannot blame ourself naman diba cause even our teachers tell us to take this as money is in this field……..di tana ya madeny but that is definitely wrong…….we do not teach our students the right way to live and that is by learning how not by giving the opportunity………….

Im sorry, but if this is the quality of students UP is producing nowadays, then it is giving me a shocking impression that something is definitely wrong with our educational system in the country that our government should seriously look into. Well, perhaps it is excusable if someone from an unfamiliar school writes/talks erroneous grammar and the likes…..but certainly not someone from UP who is the flagship of education in our country. What a burning shame especially if this is demonstrated by someone like you. It is no wonder then that our asean neighbors have left us far behind in this realm.

Sir, first of all I would say that you did not bother to check what I wrote there except for the grammar and organization errors.
True. I do accept that. UP has not trained me to write good English. Well it is my right to choose subjects that I would be taking in UP sir and I did not bother to enrol in any english class sir. The only English that I learned was the one we had way back in high school. I was lucky enough to pass UPCAT with a low grade in english sir. English is not our cup of tea here sir. In a way Hiligaynon speaking people are the more respected persons in UP. We try to build our foundations of that dialect to train oour students for the coming self sufficiency that I had mentioned earlier.
Yes, definitely its not an excuse as you expect us to speak and write correct English. Then I would present this organized reasons that I would be presenting to justify my errors in my previous comments.

1. this is not a composition class, if this is, then i would really bother myself to edit or even just review my work.
2. It is a wasted effort and time. I was just a student. I donot earn and the more I edit and review this on the net, the more money I would spend for this.
