The main structure of SM Citys Iloilo’s new development called “Southpoint” has been completed for more than a month now. Occupants of the new building are expected to start developing their spaces during the second half of the year. As previously reported, Cebu-based “Mooon Cafe” will be opening its second Iloilo branch in Southpoint (the first was recently opened in Robinsons Place). Also, Starbucks rumors about opening a store in Iloilo (and its location) finally comes to rest. They will be occupying the corner space of Southpoint in SM City. Once open it will be the third Starbucks branch in the region after opening stores in Boracay Island and Bacolod City.
y go for an expensive coffee that will cost you P65.00 ++, that you can get for only P5.00? it only shows SOME people are so-called themselves “socialites”…duh’ just an opinion tho’ peace to u ol….???

I really don’t understand what’s so great about Starbucks. Maybe it’s the social status or the novelty value.
I’m more excited about the restaurants. I hope they open something new and not just another extension of existing restaurants there.
Maybe a deli-theme resto where you can get sandwiches like pastrami, philly cheese steak, Reuben, etc. I know they serve this in some restos and cafes there but they skim on the ingredients.

Starbucks would had established their branch a long time ago pa tani…but due to some conflicts sang gusto nila pwestuhan amo na na delay. So subong dira na ang final nila nga location sa Southpoint. Now, dira sa plazuela sigurado may coffee shop man da laban2x may coffebreak man da or blue jay……

Starbucks Coffee, by Rustans Coffee Corporation proposed a plan to open a number of stores in Region 6 (Western Visayas.) and the first target is to open the store in Iloilo City. However, due to some unsettled issues they opened first in Bacolod. Then the 2nd store opened in Boracay and very soon in Iloilo. The Management already hired fellow Ilonggos and they were trained in Manila. Currently, the Starbucks Iloilo Team is handling the operations in Boracay.If not 4th quarter of this year it would be first month of 2011. Brewing very soon in the City of Love. As they said they will hang their apron soonest in Iloilo City.

I miss my Iloilo hometown and im glad there is a starbucks. i love their coffee,so if im going home again there is my favorite coffee. thanks everyone for making Iloilo good look.
