THE Treñas administration yesterday got the go-signal for the establishment of a P350-million New City Hall building across Plaza Libertad.
This, after the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) approved “a resolution authorizing Mayor Jerry P. Treñas to negotiate and enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Landbank of the Philippines during its regular session yesterday.
Kagawad Jed Patrick Mabilog, chair of the committee on infrastructure, sponsored the resolution. The project is seen as the “biggest legacy” of the city government under Treñas leadership.
Mabilog said the city is in “dire need” of a modern City Hall that will reflect its status as a booming metropolis.
