Explore Iloilo was conceptualized as a way of giving back. My beloved hometown has given me a lot of experiences and opportunities that I’ll surely cherish for the rest of my life. I would never be as I am without Iloilo.

I find it quite sad that even though Iloilo has enough resources to progress, a large percentage of its people still live in poverty. In most cases, lack of promotion is most likely the largest deterrent in the development of potential industries: like Tourism and ICT among others. Could it be that our local government is doing a terrible job in promoting Iloilo as an investment and tourism haven? Some might agree to this but the more I though about it the more I realized that the initiative should not come from the government alone, we should not be overly dependent or blame everything on them.

We should first ask ourselves how we could contribute to Iloilo’s development rather than ranting and complaining, which will lead us nowhere.This is what I asked myself before making this website. This is my way of helping Iloilo be the ‘NEXT BIG THING’.
