Balaan Bukid in Jordan, Guimaras is known for providing visitors and residents a nice overview of Iloilo’s growing skyline. There’s a lot of daytime views from Balaan Bukid posted online already but none taken during nighttime. Proudly stands with its pointed tip at about 65 meters and located at the top of the mountain, lifted up high, kissing the sky. It is more or less a hundred meters from the site and could be reached by passing a winding steep trail, under trees and thru climbing and holding into century old vines. At the top, you could see the aerial view of forest and other wild flowers around its vicinity. It is located at Bgy, Igtuble.

Iloilo Flood Control Project: April 2008 Update

The Iloilo Flood Control Project is running in full swing and it looks like the project might be finished on time based from the latest accomplishment reports and a general physical assessment of their construction sites.

Here are some updates on the Iloilo Flood Control Project:

Construction of the 4.75km Jaro Floodway, which will provide a channel from the floodplains of Pavia-Jaro to the Iloilo Strait.

This is the largest and clearest I’ve seen online. It was taken atop Balaan Bukid in Guimaras Island, the view there is just breath taking.
