Ateneo de Iloilo shaping up. The proposed main campus of Ateneo de Iloilo – Santa Maria Catholic School sits in a 7.5-hectare campus in Brgy. San Rafael, Mandurriao. The facility, valued at P200M, is already taking its shape and is expected to be partly operational by the end of this year.

Project Details: The proposed main campus of Ateneo de Iloilo – Santa Maria Catholic School sits in a 7.5-hectare campus in Brgy. San Rafael, Mandurriao. The facility, valued at P200M, is currently under works and will be partly operational in 2009.

Two of the seven hectares was donated by Kauturan Pison Development Foundation (Kapideco) while the five will be purchased by Ateneo de Iloilo. The Pisons also donated a half-hectare lot for the construction of the Santa Maria Parish.

The event, as part of the commemoration of the 450th and 500th anniversary of the founding Fathers, was attended by Atenean alumni, donors and benefactors of the school, prominent guests and local political figures. A mass was held first followed by a dinner which was opened with a fervent prayer from Fr. Edwin U.
