The Visayas Blogging Summit 2010 is co-presented by SM City Iloilo, which provided the use of their Cinema 2 for the whole day of November 27. The goal of the Visayas Blogging Summit is to gather ideas from bloggers and explore the potential impact of blogging on society, business and politics in the Visayas and beyond. Daily fastcrafts or fast ferries ply the Iloilo City (Muelle Loney River Wharf) to Bacolod City (BREDCO Port). Travel time is 45 minutes to one hour. There are also roll-on roll-off (RORO) vessels or slow ferries plying the Dumangas Port to Bacolod City (BREDCO Port) daily. The van terminal going to Dumangas is located at Baldoza Terminal in La Paz, Iloilo City. Travel time from Iloilo City to Dumangas is 20 minutes and from Dumangas Port to Bacolod via RORO, it is around two and a half hours.

Explore Iloilo and the Iloilo Bloggers Inc. were invited to attend the Havaianas Beach Bar Party in Bourbon St., Smallville Complex in Iloilo City last May 29th 2010. While reveling to house music mixes by DJ Pav Parrotte, party goers were treated with fire dance exhibitions, Brazilian models, free mixed drinks, and many other freebies from Havanaias. The event was organized by Havaianas and co-produced by SPYCO Marketing Productions Manila.

Backtrack! Creatives and Events and Bourbon Street Grill & Bar gave Iloilo the most hip and happening start of summer party for 2008 last March 28 and 29. This 2-night event featured Iloilo’s local talents in flair tending, fire zipping and fashion design, as well as, Negros’ highly acclaimed The Patiqueros. On the 29th, we bring you Boracay shindig as our very own fire zipper opens the night with his fiery performance. More fun awaits you as the famous drum beaters of Negros The Patikeros, will set the beat for another set of fashion show.

On both nights the fashion show will showcase summer wear of 2008 by Salad Dressing and Pale Blue with accessories from Gorgeous. Not to miss is the original collection of summer wear by the young and talented designer from University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Florad John Gonzales. The summer wear will be modelled by Iloilo’s finest young professionals from ePLDT Ventus, Inc. And to top off the party, manila-based DJ Onin will spin and get you grooving for the night!

The event will come alive in Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, located in Smallville, Iloilo’s newest and hottest row of restaurants, bars, and night clubs.
