Be prepared this weekend to witness the whole City of Iloilo revel during the Dinagyang Festival 2011.

Experience an explosion of sound, color, and dance.

The Dinagyang Festival is a religious and cultural celebration in Iloilo City held on the fourth Sunday of January, the week after the Sinulog In Cebu and the Ati-Atihan in Aklan.

The Dinagyang Festival is held both to honor the Santo Nino and to celebrate the arrival on Panay of Malay settlers and the subsequent selling of the island to them by the Atis.

The Dinagyang Festival is a religious and cultural celebration in Iloilo City held on the fourth Sunday of January, the week after the Sinulog In Cebu and the Ati-Atihan in Aklan. Guimbal Church: One of the oldest in the Philippines

The Guimbal Church is one of the oldest churches in the country. This yellow sandstone church is made made from adobe stones called igang and coral stones quarried from Guimaras. Giant Cross to rise in San Joaquin – 12/09 update

The construction of a giant cross in San Jaoquin was a pleasant surprise during a recent visit to the town. The cross, built on top of a hill, is quite visible from the town proper or poblacion of San Joaquin. From afar, it looks like a tall stairway leading to the cross is also being developed. It will surely be a great addition to San Joaquins many attractions and landmarks once completed.
