Public transportation such as buses (airconditioned and nonairconditioned), vans (L300), and jeeps are the public transport used in Iloilo.

They convenietly stationed at the outskirts of Iloilo City. Southbound Jeepney Routes such as Tigbauan, Guimbal, Igbaras, Tubungan, Miagao and san Joaquin use the Terminal Market, locally known as “super” in De Leon St., City Proper. The western towns such as San Miguel, Leon and Alimodian can be reached by taking a Jeepney or Van (L300) in Jaro (Big) Market, which is also being used as their terminal.

Meanwhile, the South Central routes namely: Cabatuan, Maasin, Janiuay, Lambunao, and Calinog use the Ungka Terminal in Jaro as loading zones for passengers. While the towns in the East Central part of Iloilo such as Dumangas and Barotac Nuevo use the small terminals in La Paz.

The most widely used terminal in Iloilo is the Tagbak Terminal in Jaro District which connects the city to the towns of Leganes, Zarraga, New Lucena, Pototan, Dingle, Duenas, Passi, Anilao, Banate, and the northeastern towns of Barotac Viejo, Ajuy, Concepcion, Sara, San Dionisio, Batad, Estancia, Balasan, and Carles.
