Treñas eyes P1-B budget for City Hall in 2010
SEEKING a third term in office in the 2007 elections, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas is eyeing a P1-billion budget for City Hall by 2010.
The mayor said the City Council’s committee on appropriations chaired by his brother-in-law Kagawad Joe Espinosa III has started deliberations Thursday on the city’s P851-million proposed 2007 budget.
The amount is almost P100-million higher than this year’s P756-million.
