Tultugan of Maasin in Kasadyahan 2007
The word “tultugan” is actually an indigenous term for bamboo drum. The festival promotes the local bamboo industry, protecting their creativity and craftsmanship as to the different uses of the bamboo.
Tribu Tultugan was the over-all champion in last years Dinagyang Festival’s Kasadyahan competition. This year, Tribu Tultugan failed to defend the title but it still finished as the 2nd placer. Also, Tribu Tultugan was able to join in the Aliwan Festival 2006 and finished at 7th place.

The Kasadyahan Competition is one of the main highlights of the Dinagyang Festival. The dance competition features the history and culture of the various towns of Iloilo.
