An eight minute tricycle ride from the poblacion, lies on a sprawling 1,200 hectares of gently sloping hills. This is the only UP College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences with a focus on aquaculture, fish processing, natural products development, and post-harvest/food science majors. The UP faculty normally consists of national artists, prize-winning writers, renowned scholars and scientists with an average 1:10 to 1:12 teacher-student ratio and except for some graduate programs, the university does not have separate faculties for undergraduate and graduate students.

How to Get to UP Visayas Miagao Campus

You can catch a jeep going to Miagao in the Iloilo Terminal Market (located in the City Proper, right beside Robinsons Place), in front of Iloilo Supermart – Molo Branch (in Molo District Plaza), or in Mohon Terminal in Oton. Tell the driver to drop you off in UP Visayas.

    Is it raining when you took that photo of Oble? I agree with Godfrey, that’s a magnificent shot. I really wanted to study here before when I got lucky for the BFAR scholarship, too bad I didn’t have the freedom to choose before. Sigh. I hope to see this beautiful campus in the future. Thanks for sharing Marcos! =)
