The STAR THEATER at Ledesma Street was maybe the sister theater of PRINCE & PALACE theaters since movies shown in the latter were shown in the former as double feature. I maybe not right but what I know there was no Eagle Theater in the downtown.Reply Marcos saysAugust 6, 2011 at 4:24 amI knew Cine Eagle from articles by Ilonggo historians such as the one found here:Reply jErk saysApril 29, 2010 at 8:44 amIs this building not under the Heritage sites in our city that should rather be restored or kept than being renovated or reconstructed? Such an historic building like this should be protected as it has been a part of our city’s historic downtown area.Reply Lee saysApril 22, 2010 at 8:51 pmThis building has undergone countless renovations over decades (this is not the original building). I can still remember when I was a small kid going to the movies at the Eagle theater. The eagle emblem, I was told, endured many wars and uprisings. Very historic, indeed!Reply
