Concomitant with this new development are ongoing construction of cemented roads and bridge (destroyed by typhoon Frank) leading to this pristine, pine-forested jewel of a place. The weather is “cool” a la Tagaytay – (approaching freezing between January to February) – but the 60% pine forest cover on the mountains are preternatural and can’t be beat…not even by Salvador Benedicto nor Sagada. The Camandag water falls have recovered from the devastation of Typhoon Frank and are gorgeous as ever, complete with hanging bridge and several waterfall-fed pools. The area was able to preserve its forest cover ironically due to insurgency in the eighties when forest cover was 95%. I would conjecture that the rumor of existing NPA’s and its inaccessibility has preserved this “Aman Resort” type of a destination from overdevelopment. The spa resort will be on a reservation basis and will be a bit pricy for the average “Joe”.Reply Alex the Wizz saysAugust 10, 2010 at 12:35 pmim an avid follower of this site, hehehe, wow, huh, subong ko lang nabal-an nga mayo man gali ang local ilonggo fashion designers, what a big shot!!! you’re so great, the best ang ilonggo designer, let other people see sang ilonggo talent nga worldclass, go go, go, Iloilo, the City of Love….Reply
