McDonald’s opened on Monday its newest and biggest Iloilo branch at Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao District.

Biggest McDonalds Branch in Iloilo

The new McDonald’s branch is the first of many exciting commercial establishments to open at the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park township by Megaworld Corporation, one of the Philippines’ leading property developers.

The new stand-alone store offers a total seating capacity of 250, and houses a play place, party area, and parking grounds. It is open every day from 7:00am to 10:00pm and is located along Megaworld Boulevard, the main road at the business park.

During a press release on opening day, Eugene Reducindo, managing director of Choice Gourmet Banquet, Inc., franchisee of McDonald’s at the Iloilo Business Park, revealed that the store will open 24×7 eventually.

Megaworld Expands BPO Office Spaces

Also during the press release, Megaworld unveiled the design of two additional Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) office buildings that will start construction by August this year: One Techno Place and Two Techno Place. Both towers are set to be completed in 2016 and will rise on the lot across the Iloilo Convention Center, along Megaworld Boulevard.

This year, three office towers, namely One Global Center, Two Global Center, and Richemonde Tower are scheduled to be completed. The three towers with a total of 25,000 square meters of leasable spaces, will be able to accommodate around 10,000 full time employees (FTE) for BPO Process Outsourcing (BPO companies).

The two newly unveiled buildings are expected to generate an additional 8,000 FTEs and 19,000 square meters of leasable spaces.

“With the heavy influx of inquiries from BPO companies who want to be part of Iloilo Business Park, we see the urgent need to hasten the construction of more office towers to meet the strong demand,” says Jericho P. Go, sernior vice president, Megaworld.

Megaworld had earlier announced its plans to allocate P5 billion for 10 office towers that will rise at the Iloilo Business Park by 2021.

StarTek, Inc., a US-based BPO company, had already stated its operation in the Richmonde office tower and is poised to launch its standalone BPO office building at Two Global Center by 4th quarter of this year.

Other ongoing constructions at the Iloilo Business Park include the Megaworld Central Mall, the Festive Walk (1.1km long commercial and retail strip), the Richmonde Hotel Iloilo (151-room business hotel), the 3,700-seating capacity Iloilo Convention Center, and Courtyard by Marriott Hotel (314-room 15-storey hotel).
