The structure was designed by Arch. Juan Arellano, in collaboration with Italian Painter, Francesco Riccardo Monti, who made the magnificent sculptures that adorn the building’s facade.The building formerly served as the Iloilo Municipal Hall during the American occupational period. In 1947, it was donated to the University of the Philippines by the city government under the leadership of Mayor Fernando Lopez. The UP College Iloilo was established soon after.How to Get ThereUPV – Iloilo City Campus is located on the corner of General Luna and Infante street in Iloilo City Proper. It is easily reached by taxi and jeepney commute.
