It is the time of the year where the households in the town hold a feast in honor of their patron saint or to celebrate their town’s foundation day. Relatives and Friends from all over would visit the family during fiesta time for a reunion of sorts and join in the celebration. During this time of year, the town plaza is filled with buzz as there are many events and attraction that the town has put up to liven up the fiesta mood such as a fair or carnival called “perya”, beauty pageants, cultural presentations, food festivals, and trade fairs among others. He’s the patron saint of the whole Tigbauan town (including the barangays), which is the whole parish of Tigbauan. That feast is rarely celebrated (meaning with all the food, drinks and activities, but of course the church have some ceremonies).The town proper (poblacion) of Tigbauan celebrates the feast of Sto. Nino, which is the 3rd Sunday of January. Each barangay outside of the town proper have their own fiestas in different dates of the year.Reply
